Our Story

Home should feel like an exhale.

For three years, I lived and worked at sea.

It was one of the greatest experiences of my life. I travelled to places I had only ever dreamed of seeing, built a career I was incredibly proud of and spent much of my life waking up somewhere new.

But being away taught me something I never expected.

It taught me what home actually feels like.

Before I left, I don't think I truly appreciated it. I was always rushing. Always thinking about what needed doing next, climbing the career ladder and filling my days.

Home was simply where I came back to.

Then, for three years, home comforts stayed at home.

I couldn't light a candle in my cabin because of fire safety. I couldn't take a huge, beautiful knitted blanket with me because I was constantly moving from ship to ship. Everything I travelled with had to fit into a suitcase.

And strangely, it was those little things I began to miss.

The flicker of a candle in the evening. A blanket big enough to disappear beneath. The first cup of tea in my own kitchen. Freshly washed bedding. Familiar scents. My own things, exactly where I had left them.

Things that once felt so ordinary suddenly felt like luxuries.

And every time I came home, I noticed them.

That moment of putting my suitcase down. Closing the front door. Making a cup of tea. Lighting a candle. Curling up under a blanket and realising I didn't need to be anywhere else.

Coming home became a feeling.

And that feeling stayed with me.

It became the beginning of Everyday Living Collective.

Founded in Wales, ELC was created to celebrate the quiet, everyday comforts we can so easily rush past without ever realising how much they mean.

I wanted to create pieces that make those moments feel special. Pieces with warmth, character and longevity. The oversized blanket you instinctively reach for. The candle you light at the end of the day. The things that become part of your routines, your family, your memories and eventually, your story.

I believe in choosing fewer things and choosing them well. In creating a home that isn't simply beautiful to look at, but beautiful to live in.

Because after three years of travelling the world, I learned something I probably needed to leave home to understand.

There are extraordinary places everywhere.

But sometimes the greatest luxury is simply being home.
